Cheney Hospitalized With Chest Pains

It's a slow news day, so Dick Cheney decided it was time to stir things up. Kind of a recurring theme with him.
Former Vice President Dick Cheney was at George Washington University Hospital Monday in Washington, D.C. after experiencing chest pains.

A family member told NBC News he was resting comfortably while doctors evaluated his condition.

Two doctors at George Washington University Hospital said Cheney was stable but may have additional treatment Tuesday. "We don't know what the plan is," one physician told NBC News.

Cheney apparently had an angiogram to allow doctors to look in his coronary arteries with the results indicating the possibility of additional treatment. No further information was immediately available, including when he was admitted to the hospital.

Cheney has had a long history of heart problems, including four heart attacks, starting when he was 37 years old. He has had quadruple bypass surgery and two artery-clearing angioplasties. In 2001, he had a special pacemaker implanted in his chest. The pacemaker's battery was replaced in 2007, and then the entire device was replaced. In 2007 he also had an abnormal heart rhythm in 2007 and an electric shock was given to restore a normal rhythm.

In 2005, he had surgery to repair an arterial aneurysm on the back of each knee.

In October 2008, Cheney was hospitalized for treatment of an atrial fibrillation, an abnormal rhythm involving the upper chambers of the heart. A White House spokesman said an electric shock was administered at a Washington hospital.
No doubt the compassionate left will be sending their prayers.

Nice to see Cheney still gets so under the skin of the Democrats that they're still using him as a fundraising vehicle. Some commenters at CNN send their kind wishes.

Hi Dick, Just stopped by to wish you a slow, agonizing death - hopefully with waterboarding and genital mutilation involved. I plan to pour some 20 year Scotch over your grave. Hope you'll understand that I intend to drink it first. But don't worry, Sarah Palin would be glad to bleat out some platitudes at your funeral at the Yucca Mountain Nuclear Depository.

building7 Lucifer please come and take your minion away to the underworld! Remember when Cheney hid his membership to the Rockefeller run Council on Foreign Relations so he could get the VP spot?

Guest Get well soon, Dick. There's a Hague trial and a prison cell with your name on it, and we wouldn't want you to miss out on that.
How sad and angry these people are.

In other ailing politician news, Bob Dole is also in the hospital.
