It's my sad duty to report that our good friend and valued contributor Dean Barnett passed away today. He was a remarkable man--principled, witty, and to all of us, a model of grace and courage. We mourn his passing and cherish his memory.I didn't know Dean personally, but we used to exchange email a lot several years ago, mostly good-natured trashtalk about the Yankees and his beloved Red Sox, as I got to know of him at his old blog.
Of course, he went on to much greater heights these past few years before sadly passing so young.
RIP, Dean.
